How AI-augmented Training Improves Worker Productivity

We analyze the impact of AI-augmented training on worker productivity in a financial services call center. Exploiting the staggered rollout of an AI feedback tool, we find it reduces call handling time by 10 percent, with larger effects for short-tenured workers and improved communication style for long-tenured agents.

AI in High-Tech Manufacturing: Firm-Level Evidence from a Multi-Plant Rollout

This paper examines AI-based automation adoption and its implications for labor demand using firm-level data from a multinational electronics manufacturer. We find that AI adoption unfolds gradually, with significant heterogeneity across plants, and that a one percentage point increase in automation rate is associated with a 1.2% decline in operator decision growth.
