We analyze the impact of AI-augmented training on worker productivity in a financial services call center. Exploiting the staggered rollout of an AI feedback tool, we find it reduces call handling time by 10 percent, with larger effects for short-tenured workers and improved communication style for long-tenured agents.

We conducted a randomized controlled trial across Indonesia, Kenya, and the Netherlands evaluating the impact of LLM access on physician performance. LLM access significantly improved clinical performance in all three countries, with the largest effect in Kenya, and reduced cross-country performance disparities.

This paper investigates whether Germany’s 2015 minimum wage induced firms to substitute capital for routine labour. Using IAB administrative data, I find no evidence of capital-labour substitution at either the individual or establishment level.

This paper examines AI-based automation adoption and its implications for labor demand using firm-level data from a multinational electronics manufacturer. We find that AI adoption unfolds gradually, with significant heterogeneity across plants, and that a one percentage point increase in automation rate is associated with a 1.2% decline in operator decision growth.
